Must have a lease or rental agreement signed by the client and landlord, with landlord contact information for verification.
If you are approved for assistance, your landlord will be required to complete and sign a Landlord Agreement. This form will be provided directly to the landlord by FSA and must be returned via the landlord’s email or in-person by the landlord.
We CANNOT assist with income-based housing. This includes The Housing Authority of Danville, anyone receiving Section 8, and any income-based apartment complexes.
We CANNOT assist with rent if you have received rental assistance from us within the last 6 months.
We CANNOT pay deposits
We can pay a maximum of $400
Rent must be PAST DUE except for the FIRST month’s rent.
If past due rent is more than 3x the amount we pay, clients may be required to gather the remaining amount due before we can submit payment. FSA will work closely with the client and landlord to achieve this and prevent eviction for the client.
